The OS (OpenStructures) project by Thomas Lommee, explores the possibility of a modular construction model where everyone designs for everyone on the basis of one shared geometrical grid. It initiates a kind of collaborative mecanoo to which anyone can contribute parts and components.
The Script Chair OS was built at the request of Thomas Lommee for an exhibition about the OpenStructures system at Z33 in Hasselt (BE), Oct / Dec 2009.
In this case the OS system is the Script.
The Chair can be disassembled and every individual part can be used in other situations within the OS grid.
